Jim ran his Poetry in Practice workshops at Edinburgh University from 1994 to 2019. The venue has been changed to the Scottish Poetry Library. (Crichton’s Close, Canongate, Edinburgh.) Early booking is recommended as PiP is usually full with a waiting list.

One-to-one tutorials available. Also, Jim is happy to visit writers’ groups to run workshops on any aspect of poetry.

Jim is also an experienced competition judge.
